How do I REVOKE a licence for CABINET VISION Versions 2022 and earlier?

The following process is how to REVOKE a CABINET VISION Licence via Manual Revokation using the Licence Manager ofVersion 2022 or earlier

For this process we will need:

- a File Explorer location where we can save files

- The Hexagon Customer Portal

- The Licence Manager Application

 

 

Prepare Folder: You need to select a folder in which the files will be created. We recommend a familiar and easy to find location for temporary files. In this example I will a create a folder on the desktop

Right click in empty space > New > Folder

I have named this new folder "Manual Revocation",

I can also find this file in my File Explorer under Desktop\Manual Revocation

 

Open Hexagon Customer Portal Licence Details: In your web browser, open the Hexagon website: https://customers.ps.hexagonmi.com/ and Log in to your account.

In the top right of the browser window there are options for the different pages. You want to open your company details page. Select Account Details > Company Details

Your Company Details page will include details about your company including Licences. Down the bottom there are tabs, select the Licences tab and find the Licence you would like to install. Click on it to open these details in a new page

Find the Servercode for the Licence you want to Revoke and select it to open a page with the details

Open Licence Manager: 

On your own PC, open the CABINET VISION Licence Manager. You will find it in a folder location similar to "C:\Program Files\Hexagon\CABINET VISION\Common 2022\CLS 2022.1\licenses.exe"

When you click to open it will look like this:

 

Begin the Manual Revocation Process

Step 1: Click on the licence to select it, then, in the top right corner select Server > Revoke Licence

Step 2: In the Licence Revocation (step 1 of 7) window Check the option to "Start manual revocation (use another Internet connection)", then click Next

Step 3: You will need to "Specify the location for the revocation request file". This refers to the file we made earlier.

Step 4:Click the folder icon to open the File Explorer and select the folder we made. 

Step 5: We can see the folder location in the Request Permission Ticket window, click Next

After we click next it will generate a RevocationRequest file called "<licencecode>.RevReq"

 

Step 6: the Hexagon Customer Portal Licence page will include details about the Licence. Down the bottom are Tabs, select the tab for Manual Revocation. Click "Continue to start the Manual Revocation process"

It will ask you to upload the RevocationRequest file. 

Click "Choose file" > navigate to the folder we made and select the RevocationRequest file, then click Open, with the file selected we click Upload Request File

 

Step 7: The file will upload. The next step is to download a file from the Hexagon Portal. 

Click Download

Revocation Permission Ticket (RevPmt) will appear in our Download folder. In the Licence Manager, in the Read Permission Ticket (Step 4 of 7) window, it will ask us to select the Revocation Permission Ticket (RevPmt) file.
Click the open file icon > Select Downloads > Select Revocation Permission Ticket (RevPmt) file > Open, you will see the file in the text entry space reflect the selected file, click Next

 

Step 8: Now we are in the Request Revocation Confirmation (Step 6 of 7). Once again, we are selecting the file location to create a file. 

Select the Open File icon > select the Desktop\Manual Revocation folder and click open. The folder is selected and we can click "Next > "

 

Step 9: We have saved a Revocation ticket file to this folder, we now need to upload it to the Hexagon Customer Portal.

Click "Choose File" , select the RevTkt file from Desktop\Manual Revocation > Open. It will upload the Revocation Ticket file, then click the "Upload Revocation File"

 

Step 10: The next step is to download the Revocation Confirmation file.

 

Click "Download" and see it download to your downloads folder

Step 11: Licence Manager Read Revocation Confirmation (Step 7 of 7) is asking for us to upload the RevCnf file

Select the Open Folder Icon, Select the folder location Downloads\...RevCnf > Open. you will see the file in the text entry space reflect the selected file, click Next

When the process is complete you can click "Finish" and then "Close" the Licence Manager

At this point the process is complete and you can use CABINET VISION
