The following process is how to INSTALL a CABINET VISION Licence via LICENCE FILE using the Licence Manager of Version 2022 or earlier
For this process We need to access the Hexagon Customer Portal, your computers Lock and Recovery Code, and also the Licence Manager Application
Open Hexagon Customer Portal Licence Details: In your web browser, open the Hexagon website: https://customers.ps.hexagonmi.com/ and Log In to your account.

In the top right of the browser there are options for the different pages. To open your company details page. Select Account Details > Company Details
Step 4: your Company Details page will include details about your company including Licences. Down the bottom there are tabs, select the Licences tab and find the licence you would like to install. Click on it to open these details in a new page. We will need to "Submit Lockcode", this option is found in the tabs near the bottom of the page
Gather your PC Lock Code / Recovery Code
There is a program in the CLS Utilities folder that will show us the Details we need to begin the Installation Process
In the File Explorer, navigate to GenerateLockCode.exe. You will find it in a File location similar to "C:\Program Files\Hexagon\CABINET VISION\Common 2022\CLS 2022.1\Utilities\Generate Lock Code\GenerateLockCode.exe" Run this program.
Select the dropdown box and select the appropriate locking method, depending on your internet connection and Licence Type. It will show the Lock code and Recovery code. We will need these details for the Hexagon Portal
Select the Submit Lockcode tab, Open the Generate Lock Code window, Copy the "Lock Code" and "Recovery Code" from the "Generate Lock Code" window to the "Hexagon Portal - Submit Lockcode" fields. When the details are entered correctly click Generate Licence
It will then bring up a window that contains the licence details
Click Downlaod Licence File
It will download a .clss file in your Downloads folder
Open the Licence Manager. You will find it in a folder location similar to "C:\Program Files\Hexagon\CABINET VISION\Common 2022\CLS 2022.1\licenses.exe"
With the Licence Manager open we can select the Licence Locking method and submit our .clss file
In the top left of the window, select Server > Search Standalone, and then Select the Locking Method (same as you selected before when getting the Lock/Recovery codes from the "GenerateLockCode.exe")
Click Install Licence
It will open a new window.
Select Use Licence File, Click the Open Folder Icon, find the "<#servercode>.clss" file in the Downloads folder and select Open, then click Next >
Confirm the details are correct and click Next
The Licence should be installed. Click Finish and Close the Licence Manager.
